Well, at The Ridwares WI latest Skittles evening at The Shoulder of Mutton pub in Hamstall Ridware, that is!
The sun shone, the sheep & horses in the adjoining fields added to the ‘rustic’ feel, the buffet was excellent – as were the ‘ball girls’ – & a fabulous evening was had by all. Lots of laughter & friendliness was evident as 4 local football teams went into ‘battle’, with ‘Team Wendy’ coming out top over the 4 rounds. Bob was awarded the prize for the least number of skittles down – & Gaye won a closely fought 3-way ‘skittle off’ with Martin & Phil to emerge as the highest point scorer.
Here’s to a re-match in September!
